Better Future Project and 350 Mass

Better Future Project is a Cambridge-based climate organizing nonprofit founded in January 2011. In spring 2012, Better Future Project staff began a series of meetings and conversations with fellow activists about the need for a grassroots climate network in Massachusetts. Those conversations grew out of many years of collaboration on 350.org actions and events, and they led to the creation of 350 Massachusetts for a Better Future as a volunteer-led, campaign-focused network.

350 Mass began with one node in Cambridge in June 2012. With support from Better Future Project staff, 350 Mass has grown into a much larger network with nodes in nearly every part of Massachusetts. To read more, visit 350 Mass Staff Support or read the 350 Mass charter, which lays out the network's basic structure and gives guidelines for decision-making, including around the role of staff and volunteers.
