I have been writing to my local reps at the State House re: pushing for lifting the net metering rate caps. I very much want to use solar power, but can’t on my own house. I’ve been looking for a community solar garden for over a year now without success. I am trying to do the “right thing”, but the state and existing utility companies are preventing me. I am sad to hear that community solar gardens may suffer because of this inadequate law and hope that these companies do not decide to leave Massachusetts because of it. I strongly urge Massachusetts to also do the right thing and rethink this law, encouraging greater use of community solar gardens.
